A man is flogging an ‘extinct’ supermarket carrier bag for £50 on Facebook Marketplace.
Remember Netto?
The discount supermarket chain first arrived in the UK in December 1990 – four years before Lidl landed in Britain.
Netto soon became a beloved staple, with many people hailing it as their go-to store for bargains.
But disaster struck in 2016 after the company’s trading days came to a halt.

But there are still some traces of it to be found.
A Facebook user has resurrected Netto’s presence, selling the chain’s classic carrier bag online.
Dean Tunstall is flogging the crumpled luminous yellow bag with blue writing on it for the sum of £50.
The iconic piece of British retail history can be delivered to areas near Stoke-on-Trent.
