A paranormal investigator has shared her experience of working at the famous home which inspired The Conjuring.

Amanda Noel’s role requires her to help look after the property and ensure any visitors enjoy their time there.

The 29-year-old also converses with the spirits as part of her job.

In a video that has gathered over 790k views, Amanda gives her followers a peek inside the home.

Amanda shows viewers each of the rooms, including the living area that appears to be filled with Ouija board-inspired decor.

Another corner of the house is filled with books and wooden chairs placed by tiny square windows.

Amanda also shares parts of a basement where a table has been placed rather ominously in the middle.

“I have been visiting and investigating the home several times a year since I first visited in 2021,” Amanda, who is from Northwood, New Hampshire, told What’s The Jam.

“I started working there as a caretaker too in June this year.

“I always enjoy my time at the house. The first time I visited, I was scared.

“During the day, while it’s sunny, the house feels like a home. It feels very warm.

“As the sun begins to set, that’s when the house comes alive.

“One time I was giving a tour of the basement, and we heard footsteps above us. We also heard people talking in the kitchen.

“I went upstairs to check, and no one was there. The doors were still locked.

“I checked the cameras and no one had come in, and nothing was seen or heard on the cameras.

“The only room I find creepy is the basement. There’s a distinct feeling of not being alone down there, especially in the back corner.”

The home, located in Burrillville, Rhode Island, was lived in by the Perron family from 1971 to 1980.

From the moment they moved in, they claimed to have experienced various paranormal activities.

The family’s experiences inspired 2013’s The Conjuring.

The film follows Rod and Carolyn, who find their pet dog dead under mysterious circumstances and experience a spirit that harms their daughter Andrea.

They finally call investigators who can help them get out of the mess.

Today, the home can be visited by the general public.

Tours of the property are offered, as well as overnight experiences.

“The most unusual experience I had there was the first night I was the only staff member there,” Amanda said.

“I was in the dining room giving a night tour to two women who were staying the night.

“We heard drumming outside in the distance getting closer and closer until it felt like the house was shaking.

“Nothing showed on the camera, but that was the only time I really felt scared.

“I also heard a woman screaming while I was lying in bed one night in the staff quarters.

“I rolled over and ignored it, but the guests radioed to me saying they heard a scream.

“We were at completely different parts of the house. I told them it was a haunted house and it was to be expected.

“I think the house is somewhere paranormal investigators and enthusiasts and horror fans should visit at least once.”

Amanda, who also works as a registered nurse at a hospital in Vermont, has become known for her investigations across New England and beyond.

Her followers loved her video of the property and were very curious about her role.

Marylin commented: “How does one obtain this job.”

“The basement is going to be a NO for me,” added Emily.
