Spine-chilling photos appear to show ghosts in a centuries-old cemetery that is rumoured to be haunted.
The Presbyter Matías Maestro Cemetery is over 200 years old and is home to around 300 tombs.
The people who work at the site in Lima, Peru, say they’ve seen and heard ghosts, as reported on What’s The Jam.

Tour guide, Wendy Barchi Mini recently recounted one of her many spooky experiences.
She told local media: “I saw a silhouette of a weeping woman.
“She didn’t hear me. I crossed myself.”
And a caretaker who once fell asleep next to a tomb recalled: “When I woke up, I was in another place, and it’s a huge distance.
“I was about to fall into the common grave.”

Barchi Mini spoke of another scary occasion in her workplace when heard a growling noise “like a monster”.
She says she always makes the sign of the cross before going into a particularly haunted section named the Pavilion of the Suicides.
She said of its tragic residents: “These deceased souls are neither in heaven nor in hell because they’re awaiting the final judgement.

“They’re among us.”
The spooky images of what appear to be spectres next to the pavilion’s wall niches were taken by scare-seekers during night tours.
The pavilion is home to Lom Tom, the “Barber of Death”, who killed himself in 1918 after murdering 19 people.
It’s also the resting place of the Subiría cousins, who ingested poison because their relatives opposed their romantic relationship due to their blood ties.
According to local media, experts believe such tragic stories imbue the cemetery with negative energy.
The tour guides are so convinced of the ghosts’ presence that they recommend visitors brush themselves off before leaving the grounds.
