A professional psychic medium has revealed his top tips and warnings on how to speak with the dead ahead of Halloween – and his own “strange” experiences.
Jesse King says he’s been able to see and speak to spirits since the day he was born.
The 30-year-old, from Essex, realised his gift as he got older and turned it into a full-time career, helping people connect with their loved ones that are no longer alive and their future selves.

Now, ahead of Halloween, he’s revealing some of his “strangest” experiences; including once where he was “possessed”.
“I was investigating an antique wardrobe that a client said they wanted rid of immediately,” the psychic medium told What’s The Jam.
“She said it was a matter of urgency due to witnessing three male spirits exit from there in the middle of the night.
“I agreed to take it on, but it turned out to be haunted.
“The wardrobe stayed in my living room for a matter of days where I would frequently tune in to the energies that resided within it.

“Deciding to go live on social media while I investigated, I began communicating with a spirit named Zach.
“He was a nice enough person, and was adamant that he was lost so needed me help, so I naively followed him.”
Jesse says he was “eager” to help the spirit, but then suddenly realised his mistake.

He said: “I had a sudden pang of realisation that he had led me to a negative plane of energy.
“As I tried to detach, he smiled a sickening, smug smile as he knew I was unable to fight against him.
“Then, I felt his energy take over my physical body, where it felt like I had just been punched.
“I had no control over my mouth or body and I was sinking within my own mind.”
Luckily, he wasn’t alone throughout the frightening ordeal, with a fellow paranormal investigator able to intervene.
After recognising that he was in the stages of being “possessed”, the pair began grounding practices to engage all five senses.
Soon enough, he was brought back and a cleansing ritual was carried out to remove the spirit for good – including from the wardrobe.
But this isn’t the first time Jesse has found himself being taken over by a negative spirit.
He said: “Ever since I was investigating as a teen, I’ve also been wearing a stab-proof vest.
“Once, I had a full rack of knives launched across the kitchen at me by a spirit.
“Another time, a four-foot elderly woman with a broken arm threw me, and an ex-army investigator, around like we were nothing.
“A few years ago, I held a seance where a spirit made a guest relive the murder he committed on his wife nearly 100 years prior.
“It’s not for the faint hearted or easily scared – it takes a lot of confidence and willpower.
“But I’ll only stop when I join the spirits for good.”
Jesse said he had “no choice” in becoming a psychic medium, as he was “chosen” by a spirit guide, Rose, from birth and was introduced to her when he was just three-years-old.
He then earned a PhD in parapsychology and says it taught him that the skill is not something that can be learnt – it’s a gift only some of us are lucky to have.
Since then, he’s used his energy to connect and heal the dead, as well as the living.
Ahead of Halloween, he’s warning those attempting to speak with the dead on 31 October to be mindful of a few very vital things.
Jesse, who can also tell when someone will get pregnant and can find missing people, has been scrutinised in the past for his services. .
Due to the presence of psychics increasing on social media over the years, the 30-year-old says there are a lot of “fakes” out there.
He recently received backlash online after allegedly failing to turn up to an online reading.
To ensure a smooth running of any appointments, he’s employed a team of people to assist with this.
For now, though, he’s using his online platform with over 612,000 followers to share the truth about the spiritual world and psychic abilities – and how their services can be used properly.
He added: “All I’ve known my entire life is that people come to me for help, it’s how I see my value.
“Spirits play a fundamental role in our well being and progress in life.
“I’m lucky enough to be able to get their help directly and pass this onto my clients.
“I’m certain of my ability and the ins and outs of the afterlife.
“I will save the world one reading at a time.”
