A woman claims a creepy ceramic clown purchased at a car boot sale is responsible for a series of mysterious incidents.

Halloween may be over, but the unwitting toy owner is having an experience to rival the spookiest of horror flicks.

After buying the ‘ceramic bowling figure’ at a car boot, the woman claims bizarre things started happening – including seven ravens flocking to her garden and “staring” at her, sudden waves of strong emotion, and even her home being struck by lightning, leading to a flooding on her road.

Called Craig, the figurine appears to be a vintage item – and is allegedly “haunted”.

The owner – who hasn’t disclosed her Location – asked a friend to list him for sale on Vinted, where she wrote: “I don’t believe in spirits or haunting. Well, I didn’t until my friend bought this at a car boot and now doesn’t want it in her home after the strange goings on.”

They reported: “The first day it was here, everything was fine.

“But in the morning, there were 7 ravens sat along my fence all looking at me.

“Later on that day, I got a very, very strong wave of sadness wash over me.

“It was all of a sudden and lasted about 20 minutes.

“I decided to move the clown into the garage as it was freaking me out, and the sadness went away once he was removed.

“I thought he was a little creepy and [that] my mind was playing tricks.”

But a few hours later, she says her “house was struck by lightning” and minutes later “the heavens opened” and her “road flooded”.

She says the clouds then cleared and the sky was bright again, as reported by What’s The Jam.

She added: “I’ve never seen anything like it.

“Craig was sat on top of the fuse box in the garage.

“The street flooded, and neighbours were out trying to help.”

The owner reportedly took the doll to a medium, who stated his name and says he “misses laughter and his mum singing to him”.

She brought him back inside her home and started “chatting to him regularly” – and says the strange incidents have stopped.

The owner added: “Maybe he just needs an understanding, loving home?”

The owner’s parrot also reportedly “hates” the clown.

The friend advertising the figuring said: “I don’t accept returns. Please think long and hard before buying this.”

The listing was accompanied by a picture of Craig posing next to a pack of baby wipes – presumably as a size reference – and a picture of the rainy street, which allegedly flooded.

Despite the warnings, ‘Craig’ appears to have been sold successfully – though it remains to be seen if his ‘hauntings’ continue.
