A creature thought to be a goblin was spotted creeping around a museum in the early hours of the morning.

It was seen running outside a Goblin Museum at 7am, an hour before it opens to the public.

The figure ran outside the museum and quickly darted back inside, apparently looking for an escape route.

Locals described it being the same size as a toddler, but with different bodily proportions and faster movements.

The museum called it “shocking proof of the existence of goblins captured by our security camera.”

They pointed out that there were no visitors at the time, adding: “Do you still not believe in magic?”

The clip was filmed at the Museo de los Duendes – translated as Goblin Museum – in Huasca de Ocampo located north of Mexico City, Mexico.

The museum, which receives thousands of visitors every year, is also home to another famous goblin.

In April 2023, builders discovered a mysterious mummified foetus in a disused warehouse during construction work, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Municipal mayor Francisco Mayoral Flores said the remains could be from a “goblin or a nagual”.

In Mesoamerican mythology, a nagual is a human with the ability to shape-shift into an animal counterpart.

It had a small body, four limbs, a disfigured face with a pronounced nose, claws, and a tail.

The mayor said: “Everyone can value it themselves based on their beliefs and traditions.”

Huasca de Ocampo is a well known region for legends related to goblins, naguals and other mythical Mayan entities such as aluxes.

The mayor added: “If it had been found in another municipality, it would not have been relevant.

“But due to the themes of goblins and the mystical here, there is a cultural and social demand to give it importance.”

Set in a fanciful wooden house, the Goblin Museum is open to the public seven days a week and costs £2.40 (MXN 60) per person.
