Lionel Messi’s face has been spotted on a roof by a shocked worker.
Paul Gainford was left blown away when he spotted the footballing icon staring back at him.
Whilst he sat on the roof, cleaning mortar off the tiles, the 46-year-old’s eyes were drawn to a familiar face.

A mark on the lead sealing used on the property made a spitting image of the Argentine’s face.
The 37-year-old Inter Miami star is often referred to as the G.O.A.T. – meaning the Greatest Of All Time.
Other fans claim that honour belongs to Portugal legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, his old La Liga rival when he was with Real Madrid.
On closer inspection, Paul noticed the mark looked like the former Barcelona icon’s face on a goat’s body.
He was fixing a roof in Bromley, southeast London, at the time.
“It took me about 10 seconds to realise what I was looking at, and then I thought I need to film this because no one will believe me,” Paul told What’s The Jam.
“I immediately recognised the face. I looked closer, and then I saw the goat’s body below.
“My son is a big Messi fan, and I thought he’d like to see it.
“I’m on the fence with who the goat is. I do like Ronaldo; he’s still doing some great things, but I can’t ignore these signs.”
Paul is the creator of the Promagnus (must ref), a football training aid that helps players develop a curling technique on the ball.
Approved by free-kick maestro, Roberto Carlos, and Manchester United legend, Bryan Robson, it seems even Messi could make use of the equipment.
“I’ve always been a huge football fan, it’s what inspired me to start my business.
“A new device that I invented and is scientifically proven to improve the curling technique by 46% in only 80 kicks backed by Queens university, Belfast.
“I’m the inventor, and we have Bryan Robson and Roberto Carlos involved too.
“The product should be launched before the 2026 World Cup.”
