A football fan scooped £10,000 after predicting the winners of the top five football leagues in the country.

Joe Briant stuck £10 on an accumulator last May.

He guessed Manchester City would win the Premier league, which they sealed with a 3-1 win over West Ham on Sunday (19 May).

The 29-year-old predicted Leicester City would win the Championship, who sealed their title with a 3-0 win against Preston North End on 29 April.

The Portsmouth fan backed his own side to be League One champs.

They did it with a 3-2 victory over Barnsley on 16 April.

Joe also backed Stockport County to win the League Two title, which they did on the same day with an emphatic 5-2 win over Notts County.

Venturing into the National League, Joe backed Chesterfield to win the title, which was confirmed on 23 March, after beating Boreham Wood 3-0.

He placed his bet on the SkyBet app where he staked £5 each way, which took the total stake to £10, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Chuffed Joe, from Portsmouth, said: “Winner winner.

“Paid out straight away with no issues at all.”

If he’d have done a straight £10 bet not each way he’d have scooped £21,000.

But he said: “Lets not speak about that.”

Footy fans up and down the country were in awe of Joe’s dream bet.

Joe Norris said: “Epic win.”

Dan Almond stated: “Well done Joe, good to see someone able to predict things correctly and put money on it.”
