A former Premier League star has ranked the UK bottom of all the countries he’s lived during his career with a surprise entry as his favourite.
Daniel Podence spent four-and-a-half years on British soil dazzling footy fans with his fancy footwork and scoring crucial goals.
The 30-year-old was somewhat of a cult hero at Wolverhampton Wanderers with supporters having fond memories of the Portuguese winger.

However, it seems the feeling is not mutual with the 5 ft 5 star labelling the UK the worst place he lived in during his career.
Out of the four nations his footballing exploits have taken him, Podence has placed Britain at the bottom, as reported by Whats The Jam.
Unfortunately for Podence, the culture of pints, fish and chips and constant cups of tea did not impress him.
The star claims that he much prefers living in a place filled with pride and celebrations of their national day.
Plenty of supporters were left stumped when Podence revealed his number one nation was in fact Saudi Arabia.
Daniel Podence said: “In my career, I’ve had the opportunity to live in four countries so far, and there’s one thing I have experienced in each of them.
“The pride and meaning people give to their national day or a similar day.
“I would rank them as:
- Saudi Arabia
- Greece
- Portugal
- United Kingdom.”
The winger currently plays for Saudi Pro League team Al Shabab – playing against icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
It seems the star is happier in a place where PDA and not dressing modestly can cost you a hefty fine or even land you in handcuffs.
Whilst the rules have relaxed over recent years, Saudi Arabia still operates under Islamic Law which is very strict compared to many Western civilisations.
Fans of the star were left stumped by his ranking with modest Brits admitting he may be on to something.
One person said: “You can legally get stoned in two of those four countries.”
Another one wrote: “Was going to question the UK bottom but to be fair who would want to live in Wolverhampton.”
