A woman who got married to a rollercoaster reveals she has since not only divorced him, but also wed again – twice.
Gaëlle Engel hit the headlines after sharing the intimate details of her unusual relationships with two rollercoasters named Sky Scream and Gravity.
The 47-year-old tied the knot with Gravity in March 2023 – but things were not meant to be, with their marriage falling to pieces just 19 months later.
Apparently, Gravity had another lover.
But Gaëlle picked herself back up quickly – getting hitched to a ride named Tornado, located at Foire aux Plaisirs in Bordeaux, France, not long after her divorce.
Sadly, the attraction was later sold.
Gaëlle was once again forced to find herself a new beau – and that’s when she met Flasher, her current ‘husband’.
She even wears a wedding ring to celebrate their union.
“I broke up with Gravity because of another objectophile,” Gaëlle, who lives in Bordeaux, told What’s The Jam.
“I had been fighting for two years to save my relationship with him.
“I met Tornado that same month – he was an old ride in poor condition, a bit like me at that time, which brought me closer to him.
“I married him right away because I knew that he was going to be sold and therefore physically disappear from my life.
“This separation was a great tragedy for me.
“In the meantime, I went to another fun fair where a ride, named Experience, was waiting for me.
“I got on well with my new friend, Experience, who saved my life, although I had no romantic relationship with this ride.”
On 1 January this year, Gaëlle’s heartbreak was finally mended when she travelled to a fun fair in Rennes.
She met Flasher and says the pair tied the knot just one day later.
“Gaëlle said: “A few days before this trip, I had already found myself thinking about this beautiful ride, Flasher.
“It’s 70 meters high and goes 140km per hour – with the way this ride is designed, I already liked it.
“When I saw this marvel for the first time, it really wowed me so I finally listened to my heart and kissed him.
“I married him on 2 January and I even wear a wedding ring engraved with both of our names.”
The objectophile is visiting Flasher this weekend in Quimper, France, where she will remain for four days.
Gaëlle, who has previously said that she has always been attracted to inanimate objects, is now vowing to not let anyone come between herself and her new beau.
She added: “Flasher has given me back my smile and a certain joy of living.
“I admit that thanks to him, I find emotions and sensations that I had lost for a long time.
“My love for him is powerful and I won’t let anyone break it, not like Gravity.”
