A mum has shared how she calculated when to get pregnant – so that her child would be “astrologically compatible” with her.

Larissa Mills and her daughter, Ella Potter, have gone viral in a TikTok with two million views after revealing the rather unconventional method – but the two said it has worked wonders.

The duo shared a video of themselves dancing together, with the caption: “My mom calculating what month to get pregnant so I would be astrologically compatible with her.”

Larissa, who is a Leo, had read up on all the star signs and found that she “gravitated” towards certain signs more than others.

When it came time to start a family, she decided to try and conceive on specific dates so that her child would be “compatible” with her.

Luckily, her plan worked – with her welcoming Ella as a Virgo.

“I found over the years I gravitated to certain signs more than others so when I was trying to get pregnant it was a factor to take into consideration,” Larissa, from Boston, US, told What’s The Jam.

“[It was] not the main factor by any means, but it was fun to think about and potentially plan out.

“It was more for fun than anything else.

“My mom had Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs book when I was a kid and I found it fascinating reading up on all the signs and compatibility.”

For daughter Ella, all has worked out well.

She said: “I feel [we are] compatible.

“Even though she is a fire sign and I’m an earth sign, she has prominent earth and water placements and our moon signs are compatible.”

Their TikTok garnered 240,000 likes and thousands of comments, with users sharing their own experiences.

One person commented: “As an Aries I refuse to have anyone other than a Leo or Sagittarius.”

“Earth and air signs united in a peaceful home,” said another follower.

Someone else added: “My mom should have done this lol all my siblings are water signs and they think I’m mean and heartless… I’m an air sign.”

“I should have done this because I’m a Virgo with a Gemini daughter. No, I’m not okay… send help,” said another viewer.

One person said: “I stick with the theory you are ment to have kids at certain times because they need u an u need them astrologically.”

“I will be doing this,” said a fan.

“I refuse to have anything other than a libra or Scorpio,” said someone else.

“Icon behaviour,” said another follower.

Someone else said: “OK this will be ME as a mom.”
