A polyamorous throuple whose two children have revealed the ups and downs of their lifestyle – including being physically attacked for being a romantic triad.

Jimmy, 40, ChaCha, 38, and 30-year-old Summer Silva have been together for 12 years.

Jimmy and ChaCha were childhood sweethearts who began dating a few years after secondary school but when they met Summer at a concert, there was an instant attraction.

The pair decided to welcome a third person into their relationship and haven’t looked back since.

They now share two children – three-year-old son, Hurricane, and two-year-old daughter, Stormy.

ChaCha gave birth to Hurricane and Summer gave birth to Stormy.

While the throuple claim their relationship works perfectly, they admit it often rubs other people up the wrong way.

“We had an extreme experience where we were physically attacked by a fan who didn’t understand our dynamic,” Summer, who lives in Los Angeles County, told What’s The Jam.

“They thought our relationship was unfair to me because I was the second one to join.

“Some people have this opinion that I am forced to be here and this person actually bear-maced my family, believing they were defending me, which was a frightening and difficult experience.

“Despite these challenges, we remain strong and committed to each other, focusing on the support we receive from those who truly understand and value our relationship.”

The throuple say that most of their friends and family members have been accepting of their unconventional dynamic.

But insurance worker Jimmy’s family in particular has struggled to make peace with his choices.

Summer said: “Both ChaCha’s and my family have been pretty positive and supportive of our relationship.

“Jimmy’s family, however, has distanced themselves from us completely.

“They don’t approve of our relationship and choose not to engage or participate in any of our family functions, which has been somewhat challenging for us.”

One thing the throuple practices that people in more traditional relationships might not have heard of is compersion.

The term originated in the polyamorous community and refers to the positive feelings a person experiences when they see or know about their partner connecting romantically with someone else.

Summer said: “I love seeing ChaCha and Jimmy kiss and be happy.

“It’s important to all of us that each person is content, and if any one of us is upset, it affects the whole dynamic.

“One of the key strategies we use to maintain harmony is communication.

“Compersion and communication both play vital roles in our relationship, helping us celebrate each other’s happiness and deepening our bond as a triad.

“In the past, we would stop everything we were doing to address any issues that may come up.

“We wouldn’t move forward with our day until the issue was resolved and all three of us were happy.

“Now that we have kids, our time is more limited, and we have other priorities, so it might take a day or so to resolve things.

“We still work hard however, to ensure that any issue is addressed quickly.”

Summer said when it comes to the dynamic of their partnership and intimacy, they do everything together and no one is left out.

She said: “We have heard many polyamorous couples have intimate moments separately and this simply doesn’t work for us.

“When we date each other or other women, it’s always together.

“When we go through hardships, it’s always together.

“When we strike a mood and head to the bedroom, it’s an ‘all hands on deck’ situation.

“We are always together and it works out great for us. Making sure we all feel valued is a team effort.”

The throuple have planned to move away from the city to live in a more rural area so that they can raise their children.

They have purchased a ranch in Santa Clarita and say they can’t wait to share the journey with their 600,000 social media fans.

Summer said: “The ranch spans over five acres, providing plenty of space for our activities and for the kids to play.

“We’re all incredibly excited and can’t wait to begin this new chapter in our lives.

“We’re looking forward to growing our own food and living a bit off the grid.

“We can’t wait to share our transition from city living to off-the-grid commune living with our followers.”
