A woman who is a superfan of Gavin and Stacey has revealed the transformation of her spare room into a bar-style shrine.
When Lisa Portsmouth tuned in to watch the first episode of the iconic programme, she didn’t expect to develop an “obsession” for the show.
The cleaning company supervisor, from Southampton, has since travelled to Barry Island, where the show was filmed, and has decked out her home in souvenir cups, tea towels, and other memorabilia – including autographs from Rob Brydon.
But her dedication hasn’t stopped there and now, Lisa, 56, has transformed her spare room into a functioning themed bar for Gavin and Stacey – costing £2,000.

“I’m the biggest fan in the world and it’s my most beloved sitcom,” Lisa told What’s The Jam.
“I have signed photos of Doris, Margaret John, and the show in the background on at all times.”
The mum, who is also friends with Glenda Kenyon, the owner of Stacey’s fictional home, has spent over £1,000 on her collection, which she purchased in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society and Cancer Research.
And now, with news that the iconic show is returning to screens after five years off the air, she’s getting ready to take her passion to the next level.
She said: “I was excited when I heard it was coming back.
“It’ll be great to find out if Smithy married Nessa – and also what happened on the fishing trip.
“In March, we’re going to see Rob Brydon at the Mayflower Theatre too.”
Lisa catches up on old episodes while in the themed bar with her son, Dan, 36, another fellow superfan, and sings karaoke to tunes from the show’s soundtrack.
For the revival, she’ll pop on her Gavin and Stacey t-shirt and watch with friends and family while surrounded by her impressive collection.
The 56-year-old added: “I know I’ve spent a lot on my love for the show, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
“It’s my comfort show and I’ve formed long-lasting friendships with some of the cast.
“The memories it’s given me are something that money can’t buy and I owe it all to Gavin and Stacey.”
