An urban explorer has discovered a ghost town with a church, supermarket and family homes left to rot.
Dave, better known online as ‘Freaktography’, was shocked when he came across the rural site.
Kayville was once a thriving community but now has just 10 residents.
This is just one of many ghost towns in Canada’s Saskatchewan – there are approximately 140, many of which were abandoned during the 20th century.

The population decline is believed to have been driven by an economic shift, as well as the improvement of transportation to larger areas.
Taking to YouTube, Dave shared an eerie view of the forgotten town with his 90,500 YouTube subscribers.
“Kayville is known to be one of many ghost towns in the province of Saskatchewan because all of the buildings, schools and most of the homesteads are vacant and no one lives there anymore,” the explorer, from Ontario, Canada, told What’s The Jam.
“Like other rural towns in Saskatchewan, Kayville has declined dramatically.

“The farm economy went down and with no money to be made the population dropped, schools closed, the grain elevator shut down and the railway was taken away.
“In 1970, the community’s population was over 100.
“Today, the population has dropped drastically to less than 10.”

Wandering through the former town, Dave was first struck by the forgotten church with padlocked doors.
He then moves further into the town where there is an old school, community centre, co-op store and houses.
Dave is able to enter one of the homes, which is decorated in pink and purple, with old sofas and rotting carpets.
Lastly, he shows the old, abandoned grain factory, which still has its elevators.
Sharing the town on YouTube, people rushed to comment.
One person said: “Very interesting town, also GREAT drone footage!!!!”
