A luxurious waterfront mansion has gone on the market – and could break the record for the most expensive property sold in Australia.

The showstopping property is known as “one of the world’s most significant homes” due to its location overlooking the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

With a multi-level, glass encased design, each room has the focus of spectacular views in mind.

To the back of the property, there’s a dock for boats to enter and leave as they wish from the city of Sydney.

Directly facing the waters, balconies on each level offer a place to truly unwind and relax.

To ensure privacy, various palm trees and shrubbery have been dotted around to separate the property from its neighbouring houses.

Wingadal, as it’s been named, has reportedly been meticulously designed and constructed under renowned architect, Alec Tzannes, over the past eight years.

Encompassing 2,676sqm of land and 98m of harbour, it’s made for those with a luxurious taste, reports What’s The Jam.

Owned by top mortgage broker John Symond, the founder of Aussie Home Loans, the mansion has been used for a lot more than just a base over the years.

From a charity venue to gala events, the mansion has been designed with guests in mind.

Offering entertainment areas with space for up to 500 people, along with undercover parking for 20 cars, including an eight-car garage, it’s a place to host and celebrate.

And there’s even two commercial kitchens, with a custom designed wine cellar that’s able to hold 2,500 bottles.

In 2022, IT billionaire Scott Farquhar sold his Aussie property, Uig Lodge, for a record $130m (AUD) – earning the title of the most expensive home sold in the country.

But this mansion, listed by Forbes Global Properties, is expected to sell in excess of $200m (AUD) (£105m).

Located in the exclusive Point Piper on Wolseley Road, this waterfront home is one for the history books.
