An influencer nearly had her bag snatched off her in a terrifying assault…by a monkey.
Lou Amorim was filmed smiling into the camera as she strolled through a park.
The clip then cuts to a wild monkey, which moves towards the influencer.

As it closes in on her, it picks up speed.
The influencer shrieks as it leaps into the air and latches onto a banana-coloured bag slung over her wrist.
She stumbles backwards with her arm outstretched as her blood-curdling screech rings out through the park.
The monkey lets go moments later and scarpers away as Lou looks visibly relieved.
It took place in Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday (2 Jun).

Lou wrote to her nearly 7,000 Instagram followers: “Here I was, enjoying myself in Rio de Janeiro until I experienced an attempted robbery.
“What a little thief of a monkey, it gave me a huge scare.”
She said in a subsequent video that she would have had to go to hospital had it bitten her, as reported on What’s The Jam.

Alex commented: “She scared the whole park, even Christ the Redeemer looked down to see what was happening.”
A second person joked: “From the scream, I thought it was King Kong.”
Bruno quipped: “Just send that scream to Hollywood for the next horror film.”
Estiven said: “They say they can still hear the echo of that scream in the area to this day.”
And Vander wrote: “Wow! That little monkey got quite a scare.”
