An “ugly” monkey raided a woman’s backpack at a tourist hotspot, making her sob in fear.
She was seen confidently striking a pose at the popular landmark moments before the attack.
But minutes later, she was seen sitting on a step while bawling her eyes out as the monkey raided her belongings.

The footage – filmed by a pal – shows her sobbing as her friends laugh in the background.
The monkey tosses items out of her bag as it rummages around looking for food.
At one point, the animal bares its sharp fangs at a friend who steps forwards to apparently help her.
It then continues searching her backpack for goodies.
The pouting tourist says: “You are so ugly, go away.

“You are too much, you’re not allowed to eat my food.”
However, the cheeky primate apparently finds some tasty grub and is seen chomping on it as the video comes to an end.
The scary encounter took place at Mount Emei, the highest of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China.

Located in Sichuan Province, the mountain was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
The young woman was hiking with friends when she was unexpectedly ‘frisked’ by the monkey outside a Buddhist temple near the peak, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The video was widely shared on the Chinese social network Weibo.
Users said she was “brutally mugged” at the holy site and “beaten by the monkey in charge”.
