A stray dog has graduated from university dressed in a cap and gown.
The chihuahua was seen scouring for food by the campus when students and teachers took him in.
They immediately fell in love with the pup, naming him Canelo, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The teachers and students came together to bathe, feed and care for the dog.
He soon became known as the campus pet.
And Canelo is so beloved, he was even included in recent graduate celerbrations.
“The students and teachers adopted him, we all bring him food and keep him safe,” said José Ricardo Elguera, director of CECyTEG in Rincón de Tamayo, told Contra news.
“The love for this little dog is so much that a few days ago 250 students graduated from this school and Canelo was included among the graduates.
“They even put a cap and gown on him so he would look elegant in the class photo.”
The college of scientific and technological studies of the state of Guanajuato, specifically at the campus of CECyTEG, had their graduation just last week.
In photos, Canelo can be seen adorably posing for the camera in his cap and gown.
José Ricardo Elguera added: “With this we are promoting responsible care of pets.
“Even though they are small animals, they should also be respected.
“We have many students from other communities and we care that they take care of pets and street dogs.”
