A parrot which became stuck in a tree has screamed ‘f*ck you’ at the people trying to rescue it.
The bird was lured back to the ground thanks to a pack of cigarettes.
The parrot was found perched around five to seven metres upwards in the tree, where it stayed for several hours.

Firefighters who were in the area at the time were alerted about it by its concerned owner.
According to Denny Mausch, a member of the fire service, the parrot sat on the narrowest branch it could find.

As the team tried to rescue it, it screamed “f*ck you” back at them.
Despite various attempts, in the end it was the owner who managed to coax his pet back down, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Denny was told that the owner used a pack of cigarettes to convince the parrot to come down from the tree.

Although the parrot hurled insults, it was relatively harmless during the rescue operation.
Local press have reported that the parrot did however peck its owner when being lured back to safety, however he did not suffer any injuries.
Denny added that rescuing animals “is not really part of the fire services’ mission.”
