A La Liga footballer has rescued a puppy from a bin.
Pol Lozano, who plays for Espanyol, found him five months ago.
The central midfielder, 24, who has also had loan spells at Girona and Granada, discovered him with other pups.

He chose to adopt him and has called him Mango.
The footballer said: “Having him is one of the best things that ever happened to me in my life.
“We adopted him when he was just a puppy, he was not even one-month-old.
“It is very important that we all become aware of all this, they have feelings, sometimes more than people.”
Lozano attended one of Espanyol’s pre-match press conferences with Mango in his arms.

The dog’s appearance was part of the club’s campaign to encourage animal adoption under the hashtag ‘Els Pericos No Abandonen’ – which translates as ‘Espanyol Fans Don’t Abandon’.
The Catalan club launched the campaign ahead of last Saturday’s (28 Sept) league match against Mallorca, as reported by What’s The Jam.
To raise awareness about the importance of responsible pet ownership, Espanyol’s starting line-up will take to the field with 11 dogs in need of a forever home.

A club spokesperson said: “We encourage everyone to help collect blankets, towels, and food.
“Various collection points will be set up for this purpose.
“On match day, a tent will be set up next to the Fan Zone stage from midday.”
The club is also accepting donated products at their home ground and training centre until 13 October.
They said: “Everyone who makes a donation will be entered into a draw, which will have two winners.
“The package includes a shirt signed by your favourite player, a VIP experience for two people, two corporate tickets, and two invitations to take part in a tour of our stadium.”
The club ran the same promotion last season, helping to find homes for 11 pets and providing over two tons of food and products to local animal shelters.
