A blissed-out dog has left viewers howling with laughter after a clip showed him in a sedated state for a trip to the vet.
The hilarious video of the 10-year-old red heeler has been viewed a whopping 5.7 million times on TikTok alone.
Shalyn Deemer, the owner of the dog – named Combat – told viewers her pet had needed a sedative so vets could safely remove his stitches.

The 34-year-old explained that while Combat is usually friendly and devoted at home, drugs are required to keep him calm before care.
“Combat is really loyal to us, but he gets very anxious at the vet,” Shalyn told What’s The Jam.
“The vet will not see him unless he is sedated due to a prior few instances where he got out of his harness and muzzle and tried (almost succeeded) in biting the vet workers.”
The middle school and high school substitute teacher said vets had to remove stitches from surgery he’d had weeks earlier to remove a lump from his chest.
“I felt awful seeing him like that,” Shalyn, from North Dakota in the US, said of his changed demeanour.

“But at the same time, it was pretty funny watching him come out of the sedation and act all loopy.”
Viewers flooded the comments with laughs for the woozy woofster.
“This has me rolling! Trying so hard to sit up,” one user said.

People compared Combat to Snoop Dogg or a stoned teenager trying to evade detection by their parents.
Meanwhile, another person joked that Combat appears to be on a completely different planet.
“My boy is hearing colors and seeing sounds,” they added.
A veterinarian applauded Shalyn’s decision to sedate Combat: “Makes everyone’s job so much easier.”
Shalyn also confirmed that Combat was back to his usual self just a few hours after his trippy episode, with no complications.
