A scuba diver reckons she’s found the real-life Mr Krabs – and he’s rocking a chef’s hat.
Cassie Brown was left shell-shocked when she spotted the crab strutting across the seabed in Lake Tahoe, US, looking ready to whip up a Krabby Patty.
She filmed the crustacean – complete with a big white “hat” perched on its head – and shared the clip online, where it’s already clawed in over 4.7million views.

In the footage, the “hands-on” crab waves its claws towards the camera before scuttling off, still styling the giant headpiece.
Cassie later revealed the topper isn’t haute couture at all – but a ‘metridium’, also known as a plumose anemone, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Posting the hilarious clip on Instagram, she wrote: “Among the more anomalous and HILARIOUS things I’ve seen underwater: a giant masking crab wearing a metridium like a chef’s hat!
“This was one of those [poo emoji] visibility dives where I had the audacity to feel sorry for myself until this guy showed up.
“Thank you, Mother Nature, for keeping me off my bullsh**.”
“What a weird and welcome reminder that the ocean owes me nothing but gives me everything.”
The video has racked up more than 481,000 likes and thousands of comments.
One fan joked: “Kr Krabs and Spongebob irl.”
Another said: “He just invented the Krabby Patty.”
While someone else dubbed him: “Gordon Crabsay.”
