A police force’s newest recruit has melted hearts because he’s a cute puppy.
The German Shepherd called Lykos is just a fluffy baby at the moment.
He was specially chosen from his brothers and sisters for the role.

But he will need full training before he can fight crime.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “He’s the cutest member of the force.
“It’s hoped Lykos will become a general purpose police dog with Avon and Somerset Police.
“The German Shepherd puppy will start training soon.
“He’ll learn to search, track and help keep public order.
“He has good breeding lines and was selected as the standout pup in his litter.
“His training will involve all the disciplines of a General Purpose (GP) dog
“Lykos is very confident and forward.
“But it is still very early days and we are not rushing him.
“He is nowhere near any formal training yet at this very young age.
“But hopefully he will become fully fledged at some point next year.”
And the handsome hound already has a big fan club, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Mary Dale said: “Oh my, what a sweet little bubba.
“He’s going to be a big boy. PD Lykos.”
Andrea Oldham added: “So cute, beautiful puppy, good luck with the training, he is adorable.”
Alison Brudenell said: “Aw he’s just adorable
While Lawrence Toms joked: “That’s just an incentive to commit a crime so you get to meet him.
And Janet Eyles added: “What a lovely little chap.
“Hope he enjoys his future in the Police Force.
“Bless his little heart.”
