A woman has been spotted taking a ‘wolf’ for regular walks around Paris.
One clip shows the woman, seen wearing a pink jacket, taking the large animal for a stroll through a busy city area on the end of a leash.
At one point, she stops outside a bakery with the wolf-like canine.
The caption reads: “Madame, I don’t think it is what you think it is.”

The video was shared on Instagram by Parisian Michael Maka where it has been viewed a whopping 71m times.
In another video, the animal is seen walking along a pavement on its own as a North American man narrates: “The Wolf Dog of Paris.
“Wolves on the streets of Paris, my god.”
The owner is then seen following closely behind before accompanying the animal along the street without the leash.

It turned out the ‘wolf’ in question was in fact a breed of canine called the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog.
According to the American Kennel Club, they were “originally bred for working border patrol in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s”.
The breed is “an alert, primitive canine that resembles a wolf in appearance”.
They boast “superior eyesight, hearing and sense of smell”.
They are also “highly intelligent, powerful, active, loyal and devoted to their owner”.
Originally known as Czech Wolfdog, they were recognised as a national breed in 1982, as reported by What’s the Jam.
Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs are currently used in Europe and the US for search and rescue operations, tracking, herding, and dog sports.
However, they are not recommended for first time dog owners.
