A wildlife lover has made a bird box that looks like a real flat.
Kate MacRae has created the unique design that looks like a miniature home.
It features themed bird wallpaper, a TV, shelves and even a framed photo of a blue tit.

And so far, it has had several viewings including from great tits, nuthatches and blue tits.
But no permanent residents have moved in.
Kate hand built the feature at her home near Llandeilo, south Wales.
She said she wanted to make something practical and fun.
“I love finding creative ways to help wildlife,” she told WhatsTheJam.

“This nest box was designed and built by me as part of an avian estate agents.
“I specialise in building a range of nest boxes, where I film the occupants as they raise their families.
“Every year I build a furnished box with doll’s house furniture.

“I aim to educate and enthuse people about the amazing wildlife we have visiting our gardens.
“And this kind of box attracts people to my work, who would not normally be interested in watching nest box footage.
“I’ve mounted cameras inside and am hoping for residents.”
Posting a video on Instagram yesterday (Mar 29) of the flat receiving a viewing, Kate wrote: “I’ve lowered the rent on this furnished property and this great tit has viewed the property twice in one day.
“Has asked if they could change the picture on the wall.
“I really hope someone takes on this beautiful apartment (because it took blooming ages to make!).
“Come on great tits… it’s perfect for you!”
Viewers have praised the design, with many commenting on its realistic appearance and charm.
One person said: “I’m not joking, you could rent this out for £1,000 a month in Bournemouth and call it a small studio flat.”
Someone else added: “Well, I’ll take it if they don’t.”

While a third person said: “That is amazing.
“I love it so much.”

Known as WildlifeKate she has been featured on BBC Springwatch, Countryfile and The One Show among others.
The nest box will join her live stream cameras which people can watch.
