A rare leopard and towering giraffe were caught on a doorbell camera just 20 metres away from a house.
Deon Geldenhuys and his wife Kim Smith couldn’t believe their eyes when they witnessed the two elusive animals by their home.
The pair installed a water trough for the wildlife just outside their property, allowing the animals to get a refreshing drink whilst they watch from a safe space.

The latest visitors included a rare leopard and a giraffe with a broken horn, who bent all the way down to quench their thirst.
The home is located on a Wildlife Estate in Hoedspruit, South Africa, as reported by Whats The Jam.
The animals were caught on the couple’s Ring Stick Up Cam.
The giraffe, nicknamed ‘Osi-One’, can be seen bending its long neck all the way down to the floor.
These magnificent giants have special flow control valves in their neck veins to prevent blood from rushing to their heads when they lower them.

The camera also captured a rare sight of a leopard in the early hours of the morning.
The big cats are predominantly solitary and territorial carnivores – making the clip extremely special.
The footage also picked up the funny moment a baby monkey fell into the trough before being scooped up by its mother.

Deon Geldenhuys said: “The footage has been captured by the WiFi-connected Ring cameras which are positioned about 20 metres away from the house to be within WiFi signal.
“It allows us to observe these incredible animals safely from a distance.”
