An owl has been spotted walking much like a human in a series of incredible photographs.
The images were taken by wildlife photographer Mika Wallenius.
He had been searching for a great grey owl for days when he finally stumbled across the beautiful bird, as reported by What’s The Jam.

And he was even more delighted when the owl decided to put on a little show.
As he was taking photographs, his feathered friend stood up and walked across the snow.

Mika captured the amazing moment and shared his snaps on Instagram, where he has 54,800 followers.
In one image, the owl can be seen looking directly at the camera with its legs stiff and straight below.

In another, the bird is walking on top of the snow with one foot in front of the other.

In a third, the owl’s beautiful brown and black feathers can be seen up close.
Mika’s images have been shared all over social media and users couldn’t wait to comment.

The photos were taken in Helsinki, Finland.
The great grey owl is the world’s largest species of owl by length.
In some areas, it is also called the Phantom of the North, cinereous owl, spectral owl, Lapland owl, spruce owl, bearded owl, and sooty owl.
