A pair of permanently creased jeans has sent fashion buffs reeling on TikTok – with people likening them to something “found at the bottom of their wardrobe”.
The ‘creased effect mid-rise jeans’ by high street giant Zara retail at £49.99.
Made of ‘creased-effect fabric’, the trousers have proved divisive on social media – with some people finding it the perfect “lazy” option, while others hated the look.
One person commented: “Yes pls make unironed jeans a trend bc I’m too lazy to iron mine.”

Another viewer compared the look to having “fallen in a lake”.
“My mum would lose it and try iron them out,” said one critic.
Someone else dubbed them: “The jeans I forgot I had when I find them at the bottom of my wardrobe.”
“I think I’ll walk in the opposite direction,” said another person.
“How my jeans be looking outta the washing machine,” someone else commented.
One fan said: “At least creased clothes will be in fashion so I don’t have to iron my clothes no more.”
“Looks like irons are coming out of trend,” said another viewer.
Someone else added: “Permanently creased jeans is my worst nightmare.”
The jeans aren’t the only ‘crease-effect’ offerings at the brand, with Zara also selling the ‘crease effect knit pareo trousers’ for £35.99 and a matching sweater for £17.99.
Perhaps the iron really is on its way out…
