Mrs Hinch fans have hailed a budget cleaning product after one woman asked for help removing stubborn brown stains from her toilet seat.
The discussion began in the popular Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, which has millions of members sharing household hacks and cleaning advice inspired by cleaning influencer Sophie Hinchliffe.
One member posted a photo of a toilet seat showing a brown stain around the front rim and asked fellow users for help.

She wrote: “How can I remove the brown stain around the front rim of my toilet seat?
“Any ideas welcome, thank you.”
The post quickly attracted more than 300 comments, with dozens of cleaning enthusiasts recommending the same low-cost product, as reported by Whats The Jam.
One of the most popular suggestions came from Vicki Gibb, who wrote: “I swear by a cheap product called Elbow Grease. It works wonders on the toilet seat stains.
“Just spray, leave for a minute and you literally see the brown melt away.
“Same with the greasy brown on the tiles behind the air fryer.
“The stuff is magic and cost about £1.40ish in most supermarkets.”
Other members were quick to agree.
One person said: “Vicki Gibb, Elbow Grease works magic. Found it by accident – someone doing my shopping for me. Cheap too.”
Someone else added: “This is so good for removing stains on clothes too”.
Another person also warned other cleaners about what not to do when cleaning your toilet, saying: “Don’t use bleach, it is responsible for discolouring plastic toilet seats.”
Elbow Grease All Purpose Degreaser is sold in major supermarkets, including Asda and Sainsbury’s for around £1.20 for a 500ml bottle.
The product is marketed as a multi-purpose cleaner suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, fabrics, vehicles and outdoor surfaces.
The cleaning spray has become something of a cult favourite among Mrs Hinch fans, with many regularly recommending it for tackling stubborn household stains without spending a fortune.
