A young British petrolhead has shared his experience after appearing on First Dates – where he was paired with a woman 34 years his senior.
Cormac Boylan has previously hit the headlines for being dubbed ‘the next Jeremy Clarkson’.
The 24-year-old has spent around £40,000 on cars with a particular fondness for Rolls Royces – having owned a Silver Spirit, a Silver Shadow 1973 and a Silver Shadow II 1980, as well as two Range Rovers, a 1998 4.4 Litre Twin Turbo Bentley Arnage, and a Jaguar XJ6.

He also owned the Sinclair C5,a Renault Fuego, and the late snooker player Willy Thorn’s Chrysler 300c.
Cormac was shocked at how well he was matched when Lorraine, aged 58, waltzed into the restaurant where the show was filmed and sat beside him.

As they enjoyed dinner together in Bath, a city in Somerset, England, Cormac was even more stunned when he found out that his date used to have some pretty hot wheels of her own.
“It turned out she was also into cars – she told me she had gotten a brand new Range Rover and she has an Aston Martin as well,” Cormac, from Great Dalby, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, told What’s The Jam.
“She was very impressed that a young lad like me has owned so many different cars.

“It felt like the show had matched me perfectly.
“She wanted a younger lad and I like an older woman.
“The build-up while I was waiting at the bar for her didn’t bother me in the slightest.

“I wasn’t nervous about being on camera but I was quite nervous to meet her as it was someone I’d never met before.
“Lorraine is great fun and I really liked her [because] she knows what she wants in life.
“We were even invited to go to the fire pit by the show’s producers at the end of our dinner, which not everyone gets to do.
“There was this small section outside with a nice sofa and on it was chocolate strawberries, strawberry jelly, ice creams and some cookie dough.

“We were feeding each other off the same spoon and all that.”
Ahead of appearing on the show, Cormac travelled to Bristol where he was asked lots of questions by producers about what he was looking for in a lover.
He was also filmed sitting in front of the show’s famous love heart, as he talked about what he wanted.
Cormac has described the show’s producers to be very meticulous with their questions and felt that they would “go to the ends of the Earth” to find the right match.
He said: “When I was in Bristol, they asked me about three sheets of A4 papers worth of questions.

“They asked, ‘What do you do for a living?’, ‘What are you like on a night out?’, ‘What do you want from a relationship?’’.
“If you say you don’t want someone with tattoos, if you want someone up to about six foot, someone with blonde hair, they will find that for you.
“They will go to the end of the Earth to find the right person for you.”
Cormac travelled to Bath on 14 March and filming took place on 16 March around 8am until 8pm.
Lorraine was apparently a big fan of Cormac’s outfit – a fur coat with a purple velvet coat underneath, and a suit covered with love hearts and bright sparkly shoes.
The petrolhead has previously claimed that his extravagant style once caught the attention of Rod Stewart.

While staying in London, Cormac popped into the Ritz for a drink when he met the British music icon, who complimented his choice of suit.
He said: “When I first spoke to Lorraine, she asked me if I worked as a clown and I was like ‘No, but I’m in the entertainment industry’ – I don’t care.
“I think because of my background and the fact I’m so different and the cars would make for great entertainment on the show, which is why I applied.”
After their date, Cormac and Lorraine, from Lincoln, headed back to her hotel where they met up with the other people who appeared on the show.
Cormac even made a new friend, who lives in Cornwall and tunes into his radio show.
He has been in touch with Lorraine since but they have decided to just be friends.
Cormac said: “I would highly recommend First Dates, the team was exceptional with me.

“Whilst I was in the hotel, the producer’s even rang me to get a special photo of one of my cool shirts.
“I don’t think they did that with anyone else.
“They were excellent.
“Fred was really nice too, how he is on TV is exactly the way he is in real life.
“Merlin who is behind the bar is brilliant too.
“Now I’ve gone on the show, I feel I will get flooded with DMs.
“Also because I want to get into TV and radio, I think it will help with that as well.
“I wouldn’t ever bother with dating apps – the problem for me is people lie about their age and there’s all these catfishes as well.
“I’d happily go back on the show again as a contestant, but I would actually love to appear on there as a waiter.
“It was such an amazing experience.”
