A savvy British shopper has revealed that she scored a designer bag worth £246 for just £5 from a charity shop.
Bargain hunter Holly Wood is no stranger to a good find and regularly shows off her cut-price hauls on social media.
The 39-year-old couldn’t believe her luck on a recent trip to her local charity shop in Manchester, where she spotted a major steal on the shelves.

Holly found a vintage Coach bag for just £5.
The bag looks to be the vintage Coach 9061 Rambler black leather turn lock flap purse crossbody bag; which still retails for around £246 via luxury reseller websites.
The mum-of-two described the item as “beautiful” and said the “charity shop goddesses were out in force” for her that day.
“I checked the price tag, saw it was £5 and thought it was worth taking the punt, and I could explore more at home,” Holly told What’s The Jam.
“So when I got it home, opened the flap of the bag and saw the famous Coach internal leather label, I knew I’d struck gold.
I spotted a pile of slightly squashed bags just as I was about to pay.
“Because I’ve been learning a lot about fashion and handbags throughout my thrifting journey, I can now recognise good quality leather, even when it’s hiding in a pile of faux leather bags.
“And I could see quality leather peaking out so I grabbed it.”
In the clip, which has racked up 7,000 views and hundreds of likes, she shares the moment the rare bag was spotted.
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions.
One person said: “I love Coach.”
Another user wrote: “Great find.”
Someone else added: “Great find well done. Let us know how you spruce her up xxxx”.
Another impressed viewer said: “I’m so invested in the things you find lol you’ve inspired me to make more time to go rummaging!”
Somebody else commented: “Wow gorgeous bag. Right place, right time. This kind of bag never goes out of fashion.”
Holly added: “Because my cousin had already paid for her bits, we were in a rush, so I didn’t have time to properly inspect the bag in store.
“As vintage Coach is having a resurgence in the handbag world right now, I’ve been wanting a bag like this for a while and was so excited to add it to my handbag collection.
“The idea of researching how to spruce it up and restore it to its full glory appealed as well.
“I follow a lot of bag restorers on TikTok and so am excited to give this a go.”
This isn’t the first time the self-confessed “shopaholic” has bagged a designer bargain either.
Some of the best things she’s found in charity shops include a Michael Kors belt for £2 and a Lulu Guinness purse for £2.50, as well an Alexander McQueen dress worth £300 for just £2.
