A “real-life Doctor Dolittle” claims she can communicate telepathically with animals – from household pets to dolphins and even insects.

Karolina Steinerova says she discovered her unusual ability after enrolling on an animal communication course.

The 32-year-old, who has a PhD in animal behaviour, says she was astonished when she started receiving “verifiable information” from pets she’d never met, using only their name, gender and a photograph.

“I had always felt deeply connected to animals but had never thought that telepathic communication with them was even a thing,” Karolina, who is from the Czech Republic, but lives in Canada, told Whats The Jam.

“One part of me was saying it was nonsense, not real.

“Another part was extremely curious, almost hoping it was real, and very eager to try it myself.

“I had a scientific background and was trained to question everything, so I needed to run this experiment on myself.

“I came across an animal communication course and something in me immediately said yes.”

During the training, she practiced connecting with animals she had never met, knowing only a name, a photo and a gender.

From the very first attempts, Karolina was picking up details that the owners could verify.

She said: “It felt almost unbelievable, like I had cracked a code that
had always been there.”

Now working as a professional animal communicator, she carries out remote sessions with clients around the world, claiming to telepathically connect with pets, farm animals, dolphins and insects before sending owners audio recordings of the messages she receives.

She said: “There’s more demand than I ever expected when I started.

“People are genuinely seeking such connection with their animals, it’s a beautiful thing.

“I’m so happy to a part of their journey.

“I do some animal welfare consulting alongside this work, but that is a deliberate choice rather than a necessity – animal communication could sustain me as a full-time profession at this point.”

She says the process begins by looking at an animal’s photograph while focusing on connecting with them.

According to Karolina, messages arrive as words, images, emotions or even physical sensations in her own body.

Karolina said: “I begin each session by setting an intention, a kind of quiet internal request to connect with the animal and genuinely help both the animal and the person who loves them.

“I have the animal’s photo in front of me along with their name, gender, and whether they are living or have passed.

“Then I simply pay attention.

“Messages come through in different forms, images, words, physical sensations in my own body, or emotions that do not belong to me.

“Strong feelings like sadness, fear or joy can arrive quite suddenly.

“I record myself speaking out loud as everything comes through, and the recording is what I send to the client.

“I cover a lot in a full session, personality, daily life, physical wellbeing, the animal’s relationships with the people and other animals around them, and what is called the soul contract, which is essentially the animal’s sense of purpose in this lifetime.

“The client can also submit their own questions in advance.”

Among the most memorable conversations, she claims one kitten revealed he liked drinking bathwater while it was running and licking water from his owner’s feet after a shower.

Another cat allegedly complained that its food bowl had been placed too close to another cat’s bowl following a change to feeding arrangements.

Karolina said: “On a practical level they share about their daily life, what they enjoy, what bothers them, how they feel in their body, what they wish their owner understood.

“Often it’s the small, specific details that land hardest with clients, because only they could know whether it is accurate.

“Sometimes the details are almost absurdly precise.

“One cat kept knocking a particular image off a wall, over and over, refusing to leave it alone.

“During the session, he brought it up himself.

“His owner confirmed he’d done it more than four times, that the image in question was of a grey cat that looked just like him, and that he had left every other images of cats on the wall untouched.

“She had eventually taken it down just to stop him.

“Animals also speak about the humans in their lives with a clarity that can be uncomfortable.

“A cat expressed concern about a family member who was sometimes
rough in his manner and she didn’t want people to think badly of him because she knew he wasn’t a bad person.

“His owner wrote back to tell me he had only recently been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and was still learning to regulate his
tone.

“The cat understood something about him that most visitors to the house probably wouldn’t.

“A dog told me his owner greeted him with open arms and sang him a song she had made up for him every time she came home.

“She confirmed she did exactly that, every single day.

“Animals are often also funny.

“A golden retriever spoke at length about his elderly brother stealing his dog bed.

“His main complaint was his brother’s flatulence.

“His owner confirmed this was, in her words, a very real and very documented household issue.

“But animals also speak about much larger things, their past lives, their sense of purpose, the deeper reasons they came into a particular person’s life.”

She estimates that around 80% of the information she receives is confirmed by clients.

Karolina added: “What also never stops surprising me is how much animals know about the people they live with.

“They know the energy of the house, what is good for their person and what isn’t, when something is wrong before the person has admitted it to themselves.

“And animals have no filter, they just tell you.

“For example, if a relationship is not serving you, the animal will directly say so without softening it.

“We humans tend to overlook the things that are uncomfortable to face but animals don’t do that.

“They see clearly and they say what they see.

“The animals I feel most drawn to give a voice to are the ones nobody asks about.”

As well as the usual household pets, Karolina devotes a lot of her time to communicating with farm animals, fish and even insects like bed bugs – who she describes as “not the nicest creatures”.

Karolina added of her unique occupation: “If someone had told me two years ago that I’d be doing this, I would have been skeptical.

“I’m still a scientist, I still ask questions and I still ask for feedback after every single session.

“But after hundreds of conversations with animals I would never have thought to ask anything about, I find it very hard to argue with what keeps coming back.”
