A woman has shared a genius hack for cooling down hot cars in an instant – and it’s perfect timing as the mini heatwave descends on the UK.
Ginger Banks has lived in the hot state of Arizona, US for the past 15 years, but only recently came across a “lifesaving” tip.
Documenting it on TikTok, where the video garnered seven million views, she shares how simple the tip is.

Once in the car, she says start by putting down the passenger side window.
Next, take the opposite door – on the driver’s side – and “pump it” open to partially closed several times in quick succession.
Ginger says: “You can literally feel all of the hot air leave your car immediately.
“And then it doesn’t take your car so much energy for the air conditioning to cool it down.”
The “pro tip” was liked more than one million times, reports What’s The Jam.
