He took to social media to share an image of his sweets haul.
Despite the Haribos being listed as 140g bags, Daryl got even luckier when it turned out the ones he had ordered were actually 175g.
He also uploaded an image of his order and revealed how he managed to bag himself such a discount, as reported by What’s The Jam.
“UberEats 50% off and UberOne free trial, One Stop,” said Darryl.
“Only the Moam were 140g, the rest 175g.”
Showing the price breakdown, it appears that the savvy shopper managed to save £15.51 on his order.
Using the UberOne free trial, he got a discount of £0.94 and free delivery, which would have cost a whopping £5.16.
Finally, the UberEats 50% promotion reduced the total further, taking off £9.41.
After sharing the image in a group dedicated to the best bargains in the UK, social media users have been quick to share their thoughts.
Kayleigh wrote: “Toothache coming soon. Seriously though I couldn’t ever have a stash like this in my house, kids would find them and demolish them.”
Christine said: “What about a tip for the driver.”
“Good to make up bags for Halloween,” Sarah added.
Hayley thanked Darryl and shared a photo of her own sweets, after following his advice:
“Thanks for the heads up. Kids party bags sorted.”
“Thank you just ordered 70 bags,” added Emma.
