A thrifty bride has revealed how she saved thousands on her dream double wedding – by snapping up designer bargains on Vinted.

Jasmine Havelock-Hill, 31, married her husband, Julien, 35, in two glamorous ceremonies – the first in London, followed by a party in Italy.

But instead of blowing the budget on sky-high bridal costs, the savvy shopper turned to resale app Vinted.

Incredibly, Jasmine managed to source everything from accessories and shoes to tuxedos and lawn games – bagging jaw-dropping savings along the way.

If she had bought everything brand new, Jasmine, from Surrey, estimates she would have spent £2,284 – but by shopping second-hand, she forked out just £320.

“We both are avid Vinted users, so we just began searching for the bits we knew we wanted,” the Network Rail worker told What’s The Jam.

“After the first few successes, we were hooked. We did spend a lot of time in stores and scouring sales, but using Vinted made it so much easier.

“We started looking around nine months prior to the wedding.

“We were so lucky in that everything was in perfect condition – there were no scams or late arrivals.

“The wedding industry is huge and so wasteful.

“The amount of things we bought new with tags because people felt obliged to buy into trends after being influenced by social media.

“We kept it chic, simple and sustainable.”

Jasmine managed to get her hands on Jimmy Choo bridal heels worth £575 for just £65, while her second pair, a set of blue Magda Butrym mules that usually retail for £925, cost her only £70.

Her veil she wore at the May 2025 bash, which would have set her back more than £300 in a boutique, came in at just £20.

She even picked up a Lioness white silk dress for £15 instead of £51, and a bridal clutch bag for £10 instead of £38.

She said, “It was easy to find things to an extent, or we were both just lucky, but it was time-consuming.

“You need to set aside some time to set the search up and be persistent; you might not find it for weeks or months, but it’s out there somewhere waiting to be uploaded.

“We got so many compliments on the things we bought from Vinted.

“No one could believe we had such luck with our items.”

And the bargains didn’t stop there – her evening look in Italy was a Nadine Merabi jumpsuit that normally costs £395 – but she paid £130.

Julien also scored big, landing a Tom Ford tuxedo jacket and shirt worth over £5,000 for only £560, both brand new and in immaculate condition.

Jasmine even bagged a bundle of bridal hair accessories for just £10 from an ex-bride.

The couple, who spent nine months hunting down the perfect pieces, reckon around 70 per cent of their wedding items came from the app – including hen party outfits, confetti and even lawn games.

All in, the pair splashed out £25,000 on their back-to-back weddings and luxury stays – but thanks to their Vinted finds, they had enough left over to surprise guests with an evening boat party on Lake Como.

Jasmine says persistence was key to finding her dream items – and insists brides-to-be can keep things classy without breaking the bank.

Now she has advice for others looking to use the budget app.

She said, “I used Pinterest, a previous inspiration, to understand exactly what I wanted.

“I then set up the search, don’t be afraid to be specific and use the filters – the right item is out there or will be.

“I saved all my searches and checked daily, and every item I had envisaged, I found.

“We saved a lot of money using Vinted, and with these savings, we could afford our dream double wedding.

“We even managed to take all our guests out onto the lake for our evening reception in Lake Como, which was never in the initial plan but became the absolute highlight.”
