A 22-year-old woman has shared her experience of traveling to Ibiza, the famed party island, with her grandmother.
Shaina Lawry described the “amazing” 10 days she spent with her 79-year-old grandmother, Margaret, who has always been a fan of the vibrant clubbing scene there.
Shaina wanted to make this trip a special one for just the two of them, as it brought back memories of a holiday they took together on the island back in 2006 when Shaina was a child.

The pair stayed in Es Cana at an all-inclusive resort, where Shaina’s nan, Margaret Holt, thoroughly enjoyed herself, sipping on cocktails and dancing the nights away.
Margaret even joined her granddaughter at the iconic outdoor superclub, Ushuaïa, located in Playa d’en Bossa, a venue known for hosting top DJs like Calvin Harris and David Guetta.
Margaret didn’t miss a beat, dancing to tunes by artists like Skepta and Peggy Gou, which Shaina recalled as one of the trip’s highlights.
“My nan absolutely loved our Ibiza trip; we had the most incredible time,” Shaina, from Cornwall, shared with Luxury Travel Daily.
“She had a blast at the event we attended, and we made the most of the all-inclusive drinks over the ten days we were there.”

“I actually visited Ibiza with my grandma back in 2006 when I was just four years old, and we stayed in Es Cana back then as well.”
“She’s always had a soft spot for Ibiza. My personal highlight was watching her dance at Ushuaïa to Peggy Gou.”
“We had such a fantastic time. She’s truly remarkable for her age—I can hardly believe she’ll be 80 soon.”

Shaina, who works as a healthcare assistant, mentioned that she definitely plans to take Margaret back to Ibiza in the future.
They departed from Bristol airport on October 4, 2023, and returned home on October 14, 2023.
After Shaina posted a video online of her nan enjoying the Ibiza nightlife, viewers were quick to praise Margaret’s coolness.
