A shocked tourist has shared how she accidentally booked a £160 hotel room inside a hospital.
Abigail Winters’ check-in experience was one she’ll never forget after spotting a bizarre instruction on her booking.
The 46-year-old was informed to make her way into a hospital and speak to reception before being escorted to her room.
Posting about the outlandish experience online to her 16,500 followers, the video racked up over 3,300 likes so far.
“I was worried maybe I made a mistake in the booking,” Abigaill, from Washington DC, told creatorzine.com
“But the reception actually asked my name and welcomed me and all was well.
“I received a message from the hotel giving me instructions to enter the hospital in order to get to the hotel.
“It actually wasn’t a mistake; they allow tourists to book rooms there.”
The attorney had made the 3,800 mile trip over to Tromsø, Norway, where she had booked accommodation in a hospital.
For the workers it was a totally normal experience that left Abigail in stitches after travelling for over 24 hours.
She said: “It was clean, minimalist, comfortable, exactly what you’d stereotypically expect from Norway.
“The most amusing part was when someone left me a comment that they stayed there after they had their baby and then I looked up and realized that there were a lot of babies and bassinets that I didn’t notice before.
“The stay was perfect, perfect location.”
Viewers were left stumped by the clip.
One person said: “It’s actually pretty nice and looks very clean.”
One other person added: “I’d be a little scared to stay there, looks nice though.”
Another person said: “At least it’s clean and if something happens you’re right there.”
One person said: “As someone who sometimes gets health anxious when travelling, these are ideal conditions.”
Another person added: “You know what, hell yeah.”
