If you’re looking for an out-of-this-world Christmas, one company is selling trips to space during the holiday season.
But they won’t be able to travel just yet.
The Space Neptune capsule hit headlines earlier this year for presenting its extravagant interplanetary missions in what has been billed a giant hot air balloon.

Now, you can purchase the journey as a gift for someone else, with Gift A Trip flogging seats onboard the capsule, reports What’s The Jam.
The festive journey comes with all the mod-cons of any good bar and can be booked for a £787 ($1,000 USD) deposit.
Space Neptune successfully completed its second test flight in September and is expected to welcome its first commercial guests in 2026.
That means you’ll have a fair bit of time to find the additional £97,555 ($124,000) required to secure the 360-degree panoramic views of our pale blue dot.
Other perks of the space trip, which is launching in Florida, include the full VIP treatment throughout the experience – there are even plush seats aboard the craft.
The company explains: “The pressurised, roomy capsule, where every seat is the best in the house, allows Space Explorers to experience the majesty of gliding through space while sipping a beverage of their choice.”
There is, naturally, a lavatory, and Wi-Fi connection so that guests can keep their friends and family updated as they travel into the stratosphere.
You will even be kept up to date with the capsule’s movements and particulars as it has built-in sensors showing the altitude, wind and temperature.
Gift A Trip adds: “Space Perspective is the world’s first luxury spaceflight experience.
“Travellers are escorted to space inside a pressurised capsule propelled by a high-performance space balloon.
“The ultra-comfortable, accessible, and gentle six-hour journey aims to redefine what space and wonder travel means for the modern traveller.”
Those with pockets deep enough to book this extraordinary Christmas gift will also get the added bonus of being guided by an astronaut through their pre-flight journey.
The total flight time is six hours, during which guests will travel 100,000 feet above the Earth’s atmosphere.
