A man has popped the question to his girlfriend in a Burger King – but she closed the ring box, made her apologies, and walked out.
Filmed by an employee, the clip shows the romantic fella standing at the table with a bouquet in his hands as staff members excitedly look on.
The caption says: “While working at a Burger King, I captured an unforgettable moment.”

The man removes the ring box from his jacket and a Burger King worker is seen gasping in surprise before beckoning her colleagues to come watch.
The fella opens the box as several diners cheer in the background.
But his partner appears mortified by the gesture, shaking her head and closing the ring box.
To make matters worse, several onlookers think the proposal is going well and start to applaud.
The couple exchanges some serious words before the woman seems to reject his ring again.

She then struts out of the restaurant.
The dejected man removes his Burger King paper crown from his head and slumps into his seat.
An onlooker walks over to the heartbroken fella, puts a comforting hand on his shoulder, and places a new paper crown on his head.

The man receives a supportive round of applause from other diners as he apparently sobs into his burger.
The heartbreaking scenes were filmed at a Burger King in Mexico on 14 February.
The clip went viral on TikTok with 3.4 million views and nearly 17,000 comments, as reported by What’s The Jam.
One local said: “Who does that at Burger King, no way.”
Another replied: “If my lover asks me that, even if it’s over tacos, it’s a resounding yes.”
