“It turns out that I’m not the deadliest thing in the office.
“This is.”
He adds: “It’s a killer.
“Science has shown it can be bad for your mental health.
“But I don’t see you running away from it.”
Research has shown that after just two hours of desk-based working our mental state will begin to decline.
Whilst our stress levels rise significantly after four hours at a desk, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Luckily, both can be combated by just 15 minutes of exercise which completely reverse the effects.
Caroline Fisher, communications director at Asics, stated: “Spending hours at our desks can be a danger to our mental health.
“So ahead of World Mental Health Day on 10 October, we’ve enlisted Brian Cox to play the role of the ‘World’s Scariest Boss’ in a Public Service Announcement for office workers.
“We’re encouraging those who can, to take a Desk Break to move your mind.”
