Rapper Tinchy Stryder chatted with fans who had no idea who he was despite wanting to meet him.
He was left red-faced when they didn’t recognise him despite him topping the charts in the 2000s.
Whilst enjoying a meal in Nando’s, the 38-year-old heard a group of lads saying they spotted Tinchy Stryder in the area.

The diners who sat behind the hip hop star – real name Kwasi Danquah III -made it clear they would love to meet him.
Wanting to make their meal more exciting, the rapper lent over and asked them who they had apparently spotted.
Unfortunately, the lads were completely oblivious to the fact they were speaking to the man himself.
The rapper was enjoying a meal in Nando’s in Carlisle, Cumbria.
In the bizarre clip, Tinchy Stryder asks: “Who did you say you just saw?”
To which the diner responded with: “Tinchy Stryder.”
The rapper then replied: “Tinchy Stryder? Where’s he gone…I want to meet him.”
The hilarious interaction ended with the father of two making a shocked look at the camera.
The star who topped the charts with Number 1 with N-Dubz in 2009, recently performed in Carlisle on 7 June alongside Dizzee Rascal.
The 38-year-old posted the clip on (19 Jun), as reported by What’s The Jam.
Members of the public were shocked by the interaction.
One said:”Tinch don’t worry you’re still our star in the hood.”
Another added: “I would never not recognise Tinch.”
One said: “Bro where you at, I loved your music back in the day.”
Another said: “How did they not recognise the Chuckle Brothers backing vocalist.”
One added: “I’m sorry but why do you still look like you’re in your 20s.”
