“She was in during the afternoon for food and drinks with her friends,” Chris, the restaurant’s general manager told What’s The Jam.
“I was working at the time, unaware who she was until she came to the bar where Alison Turton, my mum, who is a huge Game Of Thrones fan, told me who she was.
“Alison took the opportunity to quietly get a photo with her as did the assistant manager Micha Guy.”
But staff were sure to keep the star’s presence under wraps.
Chris added: “We didn’t make a fuss and kept her visit quiet so she could enjoy her visit to The Castle View in peace.
“I think it was a friend’s birthday and they had a selection of meals from the light bites but Maisie herself had the sirloin steak.
“They shared a bottle of white wine plus a round of shots to celebrate a birthday.”
A spokesperson for the restaurant said: “We had Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark from Game of Thrones in over the weekend.
