One of the world’s oldest tropical rainforests is welcoming guests for a unique retreat to relax the mind.

Forget mediation; this adventure will take you on a trip that’s out-of-this world.

As you float through the crystal-clear waters, amongst the canopy of trees and rare wildlife, your mind will be given the chance to truly switch off and unwind, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The rainforest, which is over 135 million years old, has history hidden in every corner, as well as species such as the bandicoot, goanna and white-lipped tree frog.

The unique retreat is being offered by Back Country Bliss Adventures in the Daintree Rainforest, located north of Port Douglas, Australia.

In a clip posted on their Instagram, which has racked up over 19.4m views and 1.2m likes, they reveal the serene trip on offer.

First up; river floating, followed shortly by hiking upstream of the Mossman river.

And it’s not all about relaxation, with valuable lessons taught about the rainforest’s role in the ecosystem told throughout.

In a bid to cool off, visitors are allowed to travel through a secret creek to the river for a dunk.

The rainforest also contains a village dating back to 1970s, which offers sustainable cattle and fruit farming, as well as a timber gallery featuring artwork by local craftsmen.

There are picnic areas and restaurants galore, or for a spot of barbecuing, there are free electric grills dotted around.
