Three lads landed themselves in hot water after using their pickup truck as a mobile swimming pool.
Two shirtless pals were filmed sipping drinks and tucking into watermelon while cruising the streets in the truck’s cargo bed.
The yellow pickup was filmed driving through town with the rear filled with water.

A plastic sheet lined the bed to hold the water.
The pair sat in the makeshift pool as the third man drove the truck through Xining City in Qinghai Province, China, on Wednesday (12 Aug).
The stunt went viral on social media.
Local traffic police spotted the online clip and swung into action.
Officers tracked the truck’s route using CCTV and other monitoring methods, as reported by Whats The Jam.

They stopped the vehicle at the junction of Kunlun Road and Delingha Road in the city’s Chengdong district yesterday (13 Aug).
The truck was classed as a freight vehicle, which are banned from carrying passengers under Chinese road traffic rules.
Xining traffic police said the cargo bed has no seats, seatbelts or safety barriers.

They warned that sudden braking, turns or bumps could send people flying out or cause drowning.
The water also shifts the vehicle’s centre of gravity and makes it unstable to drive.

Police described the set-up as a “mobile bomb” and accused the culprits of treating public roads like a showground for online clout.
They urged drivers not to put social media fame above life safety.
Police seized the pick-up on the spot.
The driver was fined £110 (CNY 1,000) and hit with three penalty points on his licence.
Officers also gave the two passengers a stern talking-to.
