A hapless cat had to be rescued after trapping its head in a mouse hole.
Rescuers held back their laughter as they worked to free the tabby.
It sat helplessly on the ground with only its body showing.

The fire brigade arrived to find the feline’s head wedged in what appeared to be a mouse hole in a roadside wall.
The team used an axe to carefully break open the wall around the animal, as one firefighter gently held its body while another enlarged the opening.
Once free, the startled cat squirmed wildly as the firefighter lowered it to the ground.
The feline immediately fled the scene.
The drama unfolded in Chengdu, China, after a concerned resident raised the alarm.

The short clip quickly racked up more than 1.5 million views online, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Online viewers joked that the moggy fled in embarrassment after its public mishap.
Comments poured in comparing the scene to a classic Tom and Jerry cartoon.
