A cleaner who tidies hoarders’ homes has been blown away by the size of a 1991 Mars bar compared to today’s.
Victoria Gordon could not believe her eyes when she stumbled upon the 35-year-old sweet treat while clearing out a property.
The 44-year-old, who runs her own cleaning business, was stopped in her tracks by the sheer size of the chocolate bar.

She compared it to a modern day Mars bar and was shocked by the impact of shrinkflation.
“While I do totally understand inflation, shrinkflation is a bit of a swizz as my Mum would say,” Victoria, from Lincoln, told What’s The Jam.
“The size difference was greater than I expected.
“Even though I knew it was big, I was surprised when I bought one to compare.
“It is a shame really.”

Victoria discovered the item while on a job in North Lincolnshire, where she had been tasked with clearing out a hoarder’s home on 5 Aug.
Her specialist cleaning business now focuses on crime scenes, post death clean ups, hoarded houses and other biohazard cleaning sites.
In 1991 a Mars bar cost between 25p to 30p, now it costs £1.20 – for much less chocolate.

A standard-sized bar also reached a peak weight of 65 grams – while today’s weighs around 51 grams.
Despite being shocked by the find, Victoria revealed it’s actually her favourite part of the job.
She said: “My absolute favourite part of the hoarder clearances are finding treasure like that.
“I find so many old and vintage things.
“I find it fascinating.”
Victoria shared the clip online, which quickly went viral – racking up over 700,000 views.
She said: “I have had videos go viral before, the Hoarder houses are always popular but I am surprised how this has taken off.”
