Karen Gillan threw herself into Scotland’s World Cup celebrations after the national side secured a winning start to their campaign.
The Hollywood actress was filmed singing and dancing with jubilant supporters as fans marked Scotland’s 1-0 victory over Haiti.
The Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Who star later shared footage of the celebrations on social media, posting: “Yes sir, I can boogie…when SCOTLAND WINS!!! GO ON LADS!!!” as reported by Whats The Jam.

Fans were quick to react, with many delighted to see the actress celebrating alongside fellow supporters.
The victory sparked scenes of jubilation among travelling Scotland fans, who packed bars and venues as they toasted the team’s successful start to the tournament.
Gillan, who was born in Inverness, has often spoken proudly about her Scottish roots despite building her career in Hollywood.

The actress appeared to be enjoying every moment of the celebrations as Scotland supporters sang, cheered and waved flags long after the final whistle.
Gillan also joined members of the Tartan Army before kick-off for a rendition of The Proclaimers’ classic I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), embracing the party atmosphere.

Gillan’s video was viewed over 4.8m times, with 425,000 likes and 2650+ comments sharing their thoughts.
