As temperatures soar across the UK , one dad has gone viral after transforming his back garden into a mini waterpark complete with a giant twisty slide and swimming pool for his sons.
Mechanic Liam Tandy, 40, spent days hunting online for the perfect pool slides before stumbling across a huge commercial playground slide he “just had to have”.
The dad of three built the mega structure in the garden of his home and says it was all done simply to make sons Sunny, 10, and Rowan, nine, happy while making the most of the hot weather.

The Mancunian explained that the idea came after a family holiday two years ago when he decided he wanted to keep the swimming pool set up for the summer, as reported by What’s The Jam.
“I started looking for pools before I was even back home and I wanted slides as well,” Liam said.

“It started by looking for two normal straight slides which I built a platform off the side of my garage for with a staircase.
“After spending days searching for slides, I came across a commercial play area slide and just had to have it.”
The towering slide, which curls into the pool below, has attracted attention online as Brits search for ways to cool down during the recent spell of warm weather.

But despite the impressive scale of the build, Liam said his boys were initially too nervous to try it.
“The boys were scared to go down at first,” he said.
“But they soon went down and absolutely love it.”
