Tesco has announced a major change to its home delivery service – with shoppers able to snap up slots for as little as £1 from next week.
The supermarket giant is slashing the cost of delivery windows for two days only as part of a nationwide promotion.
Customers booking deliveries for Tuesday 12 May and Wednesday 13 May will be able to access discounted slots across the country.

Under the limited-time offer, all four-hour and flexi saver delivery slots will cost just £1, as reported by Whats The Jam.
Meanwhile, one-hour delivery windows will be reduced to £2.
Every available slot across both days is included in the promotion.
The discounted bookings are already live on https://Tesco.com and through the Tesco app.

The move is expected to prove popular with shoppers looking to cut grocery costs while avoiding trips to stores.

Tesco regularly offers cheaper saver slots at quieter times, but the latest promotion marks one of the supermarket’s widest delivery discounts in recent months.
The retailer has increasingly focused on expanding and promoting its online grocery services amid continued demand for home deliveries.
Earlier this year, Tesco also announced plans to increase the number of delivery and Click+Collect slots available to customers during busy seasonal periods.

The supermarket giant previously added an extra 120,000 slots ahead of Easter and opened bookings earlier than usual to help shoppers secure deliveries.
Tesco’s Anytime Delivery Saver subscription currently starts from £6.99 a month and offers customers benefits, including priority access to delivery slots.
