Two adorable penguin chicks weighing no more than a kiwi have been born at Edinburgh zoo.
The tiny newcomers tipped the scales at just 63g and 95g, instantly melting the hearts of keepers with their contrasting personalities.
Born to parents Bruce and Pinhead, and Wesley and Penny, the Northern rockhopper chicks hatched in time for World Penguin Day (25 April).

The fluffy pair are being closely monitored during their first few weeks, with daily weigh-ins to ensure they stay healthy, What’s The Jam reports.
At Edinburgh Zoo, animal team leader Alison MacLean said the chicks are incredibly small at this stage.
She said: “This is my favourite time of year.
“The chicks are so tiny at this stage, weighing the same as a small kiwi fruit.
“One is very vocal at weigh-in while the other prefers to snuggle under the parents and avoid the spotlight.”

Keepers carefully lift each chick from beneath its parent for weighing, before returning it within seconds to minimise disruption.
The species is currently classed as endangered, making each successful hatch particularly important.
MacLean added: “What makes this extra special is that Northern rockhoppers are endangered.

“Being able to contribute to the breeding programme, which ensures a healthy and genetically diverse population in zoos, is wonderful.”
Staff are hopeful more chicks will hatch in the coming days.
Visitors may be able to catch a glimpse of the youngsters being cared for by their parents at Penguins Rock – the largest outdoor penguin pool in Europe.
